Where no one critiqued or criticized football teams...where different views and opinions weren't exchanged...
Sounds kind of authoritarian to me...and frankly boring as all get out.
No team, no matter how long they have been good, no matter what set of circumstances, is such that you can't level criticism on some level...none.
Not the Patriots...no one. And if there is one exception to the rule, it would be the Patriots. But we don't have a Brady...and I'll say Goff will never sniff the greatness Brady who is possibly the greatest QB of all time...and...I'll predict McVay will never be a Belichick possibly the greatest NFL coach of all time.
So...until we come within "screaming at the top of your lungs" distance from Brady and Belichick, the criticism is so appropriate. McVay called a horrible game and Goff looked like Jared Goff from 2016.
So if kumbaya is your style...keep on kumbaya-in! Otherwise, I say let it rip when we stink up the joint!
Funny...some you find us criticizing the Rams as "unreasonable"..."impatient". Yet you criticize those people because you are the one's who are "reasonable" and "patient". Hmmm...
A great exampIe from just this year...I was criticized by a number of you when I was critical of the Rams defensive weaknesses after 4-5 games. Some of you ripped my criticism as an ungrateful complainer and threw out the fact that we were one of the best scoring defenses in the NFL. I countered by saying we played Oakland, SF and Arizona so it was hiding the warts. I was told that you can't look at it that way because all teams play lousy teams. You posters know who you are. Well...who was right? Hmmm? And was my criticism justified? Of course it was.
Some people view things objectively...see things as they are...and still love their team...others see everything through rose-coloured glasses...even to the point of being blinded.
Posters are seeing holes... concerns... we just don't look at the record and say "let's just trust the coaches!" There are serious concerns about this team...a team called Super Bowl contenders. Well...we have issues that will impede that designation. And...those issues are worthy of pointing out and discussion.
What it comes down to is that many of us are honest about our team and likely ahead of the "discussion" game or curve...whatever you want to call it.
