43, there is rarely a team that goes to the Superbowl and/or wins it, that doesn't have "no shortage of issues".
The Superbowl Rams had issues; for one thing, Warner was constantly getting splattered in exchange for throwing into a blitz.
The Defense was so-so. It had flaws.
The Superbowl Ravens had a rather glaring flaw: no offense.
My point is that of course the Rams have some issues. That was especially so on D, but now that Talib is back, those issues seem to have been significantly curtailed.
The offense has issues, but mainly at TE.
But to point to one game when the Rams score 30 points less than their average and then use that as the model for what's wrong with the Rams is just not logical. It's emotional, but not logical.
What team in the league is so without issues that every game, every time, they dominate and operate without issues in all 3 phases of the game?
The Superbowl winner this year, and every year, will win by attacking the other teams issues, and trying to protect against their own.
I see tremendous over reaction at this loss; and tremendous nit picking, and stating the obvious....the Rams aren't a perfect team....in a win.
I remember when my son played High School ball. After the game some parents would go to congratulate their kid on what they did well. Others would rush to tell their kid what they did poorly. Which parent's reaction would you prefer if you were that kid?
We're fans; not coaches. You know of course that behind closed doors, in the film room, mistakes and issues are pointed out and discussed. Because there will always be some.
But by all means; if some fans and posters first reaction to a win is to throw their hands up in despair because the Rams win the game but not by enough style points, then go for it.
For me, I'll enjoy every win and let the coaches worry about fixing the remaining issues.
