Whitworth and Cooks made mental mistakes. Most of the OL was bad, especially Sullivan. Goff was visibly bad, missing throws like rookie Goff. Clearly, he’s not good enough yet to play well unless his OL is playing well. Actually, he’s terrible unless his OL is playing well. That’s not the mark of a top QB. I think he’ll get there eventually, but right now he’s borderline top 10.
McVay needs to build a game plan that utilizes Gurley much more. All that talk about the defense made passing a better option is foolish. You’ve got the best RB in football, use him.
