I understand Baker's argument and I agree with his general point completely, but Baker chose a poor team/game to use.
The Lions are a depleted team. They are missing their primary weapons and are somewhat demoralized. Their Tate trade earlier this year signified they were throwing in the towel for the season. Most of the Lion's fans I talk with agree, (I live in the Detroit area).
This win is a good win, but nothing to get excited about over any other wins. I think the game could have gone the other way had Tate, Jones, and Johnson been available. Our team was, very understandably, a little flat, and we beat a broken team. We played down to the level of our competition and still won, and that's good, but nothing to dance about.
