I was listening to a podcast last week, and a pundit (I think it might have been Joe Curly) said he wanted and expected a blowout in DET. He felt anything less would be pretty poor.
The pundits seem to always want style points. The Rams are a beautiful team to watch and have captured the football nation's eye. When Rams don't play the way the talking heads think they should or meet their style point expectations, even in a WIN, we are somehow playing poor. Its tough to win in the NFL....period!
We won the game and are NFC West Champs... I'll take a grind it out W any day to a blowout style point W.
By the way, I loved what Howie Long said last night... He said the the Rams are a battle tested team! He said that they have played some very tough teams with great QBs and have found a way to win even when they weren't playing their best. He said that bodes well for the Rams going down the stretch and into the playoffs.... Howie gets its!
