McVays spacing scheme offense is dead in its tracks. Thats why they bog down in the redzone. Woods and Kupp thrive on the underneath stuff while Cooks takes the top off. Reynolds is a much needed redzone target that with some added strength and weight could become a real weapon as well. Heck, he already is flashing it now.
Cooper is my favorite type of player
Not the demon of the combine
Not the darling of media coverage
What he gets; He earns step by step, rep by rep, the hard way around. Study, apply; rinse, repeat
Reynolds
Great stuff from the Texas A&M Aggie. The tightends, and Reynolds don't get celebrated the way I'd like, but it's tough to get the targets with such a superb cast already vying for attention. Perhaps, if Josh had snared that pass in the endzone last Monday, we'd be wearing some deeper rose colored glasses.
I'm pretty happy with his work, and with the receiver corps clearly studying and learning McVay's every deepening playbook, he's going to be counted in a very, very large way the rest of the way this season. Crossing my fingers will still see him chasing Cooper level kudos
