While there are exceptions knee injuries are killers to careers at skilled positions that require cutting ability. Sometimes they recover when they are young, i.e. Gurley, but it is harder and harder as the years go on.
Although the modern day medicine give you hope. The guy with the Chargers, Allen, still looks like he can play, but many times it is the beginning of the end.
