Yep, AD is having an other worldly season. Incredible by even HIS lofty standards.
But there is a larger point here. Given all the attention opponents devote to AD, why aren’t other Ram defenders feasting as a result?
Example: Rams currently have 22 sacks. Only 6 from players not named Donald, Suh, or Littleton.
If I were a member of this D, I would be embarrassed by the impression that they seem too willing to “hold AD’s beer” while they watch him do his thing.
I’ll close with this. If Fowler and/or Ebu/Obo can kick up the outside pressure significantly? Look Out! This D could become the nightmare we all originally expected.
Brockers - He is very low on stats and from what I can tell is doubled a lot less than Suh. He's one of the biggest disappointments on D. Career low PFF rating too.
Ebukam - Only 2 sacks & 21 combined tackles in 8 starts. With all the attention Donald and Suh command, I'd expect more from him. He does have 2 forced fumbles.
Longacre - He is wayyyy worse than last year. He has 9 total tackles in 5 starts, 0 sacks. Is he really healthy?
Barron - He got the safety. Other than that, has been out produced by Ramik.
Westbrooks - almost haven't heard from him which is disappointing after he was so good last year
