Why get hung up on the labels?

I’m not a great X’s and O’s guy, but I know this much.

Rams needed more than just pressure up the middle on passing downs, especially when facing elite type QB’s.

Hopefully, Fowler will thrive in this D and with these teammates. If he does, opposing QB’s will be more uncomfortable and will have less time to find a receiver breaking free. That’s often the difference between a 40 yard catch and a throwaway to avoid a sack.

I couldn’t care less what Wade’s D is called. Personally, it looks like a shape shifting hybrid to me. One now loaded with one more very talented defender.

I predict an improved pass defense as Fowler assimilates into this D. He will give Wade new scheming options that opposing QB’s will NOT enjoy.

I hate to pick on Longacre, but he was the weakest link on this D, at least IMO. And frankly, Ebu has fallen short of expectations.

I now predict a dominant D once Talib returns.

With Fowler signing can we finally admit we have a 4-3 defense

That's the opposite of what I've heard about Fowler

  He's an edge rusher.

  It's neither a 4-3 or 3-4; it's a Phillips hybrid. (nm)
