I'm definitely not taking it personally if you are. Good discussion.
Here's what I saw:
a) Cowherd dropped us two spots and put the Saints ahead of us at #1. They have one loss, we don't. They lost to the Bucs of all teams. And PFF says they've had the easiest schedule. Now, all that's debatable, I guess. That's why we talk about it. But I guess I don't understand the logic.
b) One of the NFL Network shows had both guys calling the game for the Saints.
c) Stephen A. Smith somehow spins us picking up Fowler to mean that now we're going to get called for a ton of roughing the passer penalties. Then he proceeded to say Fowler is a non-factor. Huh? Which one is it Stephen A.? He's leaning Saints right now, too.
Is this "dissing" us? I mean, I don't know if I'd use that word, but I do think it's an overreaction to playing a close game against the clear-and-away no-questions-asked GOAT QB who will likely get into the HOF
before he retires. Just sayin'.
I don't really care what these guys say. I'll wait for what the scoreboard says on Sunday night. But, seems to me, there has been some backpedaling on the Rams in the media. Not everywhere, but definitely in some quarters.
