Despite our little internecine squabbles over this or that little thing, this forum is a place where serious discussion about football takes place. And yes, we're fans who think our team is going to win a lot of the times. But I think the vast majority of people here can give an honest (even if slightly biased) appraisal of our own team. The most optimistic among us can probably at least give a cogent argument for how the Saints could beat the Rams, or just about any other contending team for that matter.

But much of the sampling of Saints fans I saw Rams43 post above and what I've seen from other snippets here and there are a lot of loudmouth, ignorant claims from people with the analysis and maturity level of nine year olds on the playground. Surely there are thoughtful Saints fans somewhere, but apparently they aren't easy to find (there used to be one fella who would post here sometimes... he was a good one... "saintsalive" I think was his handle). I don't mind if they think they're going to win, but I wish they would tell me why with more than "Hurr hurr Packers exposed the Rams now we just gonna roll them!" or "Fowler sucked for Jags so obviously he'll suck for the Rams, too!"

Anyway... I appreciate y'all. This is a great place to talk about football, even when we disagree. We're pretty much knucklehead-free around here.
