I mean, we're a playoff bye team, I think. And I'd have us favored against most NFC playoff teams.
But I don't see the sort of substantive edge we had in '99.
On the other hand, we are CLEARLY a competitively tough team that can execute well when it counts. That's a major asset.
And yet, even there, I think it's impossible to determine how much of our recent string of close wins is a matter of being hot in unsustainable ways. When a hot team cools off, things can run the opposite way.
Look. We're a very good, very resilient team with a coaching staff that prepares us extremely well. But do other teams have something explosive we can't match? I dunno.
Nor do I really know how good the opponents are. NO won 2 weeks ago when a Raven kicker who had previously made all 222 of his attempts suddenly missed a PAT in the final seconds. Are THEY sustainably hot?
