If people are not thrilled with this team something is wrong with them if they are a Rams fan.
However I do think it is proper to see where we may have been missing the mark when we play a tough game. Of course some may be overly critical and expect a blowout win every week. I know I would like to see a 20 point win with great execution in all 3 phases of the game. Thing is that is just not realistic. Denver made some adjustments and got Goff out of his rhythm. It only took 6 weeks for that to happen and you don't automatically change what has working in the middle of a game. I think we could have done a better job of adjusting the offense calling quicker hitting plays and some screens to slow down the rush. We may have gotten too cute a few times. But in the end we won a another game on the road that is nothing to sneeze at.
The good thing about adversity is that it challenges you and give you an opportunity to respond in either a positive or negative way. When we respond in a positive way we learn and we grow and we become better prepared the next time we face it. Adversity tests help prepare us for the playoffs and for those tough games down the road. We were tested yesterday and we came out with a win. Do we have things we need to fix sure we do and I have all the confidence that the coaching staff is much harder on themselves than any of us are. We may even be out of sync a bit for another game or two but that does not mean the season is lost.
It is clear we did not have our best game yesterday but I am confident that our coaches will respond make adjustments and have our team ready to play. I am confident that without injuries to Goff or Gurley we will make the playoffs. If we are relatively healthy I expect us to make some noise in the playoffs. After all the time we have spent being doormats I am darn happy with that outlook. Oh and with a little luck we could even win the whole thing. So it's okay to be a little critical but we should all remember the context of where we are and where we have come from.
