Brockers was the culprit on the DL Samson LB, Joyner & Peters.
Brockers owned up to it.
But was it just those 4? Or are those 4 just the primary culprits?
My impression is that Suh and AD were owning up to doing a bit of it too.
...
Brockers was voted a team captain.
I am sure he is highly respected by his teammates. However, he is not the guy who holds others accountable nor is he an inspirational leader that others rally around.
That guy needs to be Donald. It was Talib in the secondary, then he got hurt. And its no coincidence that the play back there has suffered a lot since he got hurt.
Remember that Brockers is the guy who was called out by McVay durning TC when SM said "come on Brock, how many times are you gonna ask the same question that you already know the answer to?"
That's not the guy I want leading my defense. I want a guy who, well, ...I want Merlin Olsen.
I'll never forget a game I went to in New Orleans in 1976. Sitting in the Superdome waiting for the teams to come out for warmups. Out of the far tunnel I see the Rams. First in line is Merlin. And he led the team out onto the field. They all followed him like puppy dogs. He commanded the field. What a great leader. Greatest leader the Rams ever had. And for my money as close to the perfect player as you'll ever see.
