I hear you but I think they said the photos were inconclusive on the TD. Well if you had a camera right down the backline and especially overhead (goal post area) you could easily make better and more precise calls. Cameras like that would have easily shown 2 steps out of bounds.
The technology is there so let's use it!
I believe that there were more than enough cameras to show the (non)-TD reception and the Gurley 1st down run.
Think about it. Typically, there are cameras positioned at the back of both end zones and on the side opposite of the regular TV sideline view. I believe the back end zone camera would have provided the definitive evidence to show that the Seahawk receiver was out of bounds. And the opposite field sideline camera would have shown if Gurley's knee was down or not (he wasn't close to being out of bounds which can sometimes be blocked by people). I believe that this was good 'ol fashioned network drama where Fox producers simply declined to show those angles (but they have to be there based upon previous low-level broadcasts).
