But to me it's almost like the officials calibrate what they going to allow according to how good the defender is.
If they called every hold (h***, even if they called half the holds) against the guys blocking Aaron Donald, then the opposing offense wouldn't be able to operate.
So they let a bunch of stuff go in order to even the field, and make the game playable for the other guys.
I think that's wrong. And I don't think they did it to everyone. The Lawrence Taylors got a lot of calls, and forced offense to come up with desperate ways to try to get past it.
With Donald, it has to be super, super egregious, or they just ignore it. It's like "well of course they held him. they have to, he's Aaron Donald!"
