There is a history of his TEs being an integral part of his offense and he inherited Higbee and drafted Everette. I think there’s a good chance that he’s going to find a use for his TEs
So he turns Goff around and he turns Gurley around but he won’t use his TEs? This is the second year in the offense and you guys are acting like the guy is so great but he can’t develop TEs
Ok... if you guys say so lol
There might be a different history there.
1. He didn't turn Gurley around, Gurley turned Gurley around. Gurley had a subpar 2016 (he has mentioned a back injury) and then came out of it.
2. He used TEs in Washington because he had TEs. I think in LA Higbee is a blocker now and Everett has yet to have a healthy season.
What those 2 things have in common is that McV takes advantage of what he has (Gurley in LA, TEs in Washington, not that those are equivalent things...the point is that regardless of whatever schemes he has in his head beforehand, McV adapts to the strengths of his unit).
I don't doubt he would like to get more from the TEs, but, if he can't, he can;t. That's fine, the GSOT never used TEs much either. It was always Faulk and 3 WRs.
It has just been 2 games but the Rams use 3 WR sets ("11 personnel" ) pretty much more than anyone.
