alrighty then... lets move on.
What you detail I think is best exemplified for us in the "Game Time Forum" reaction and then the ensuing posts on the main Board during the week.
Real time reaction can be harsh... and over the top. JamesJM = Guilty as charged.
I have what I believe to be an unrealistic view regarding that... accept it, it's human nature, move on. I don't hold myself all that accountable for my heat of the moment tantrums... the least I can do is to extend other's the same consideration.
I have a definite flaw in my posting: (I like to begin with a premise we can all agree on) - When 'good' happens I tend to be brief in introduction to the 'good' and then get detailed about 'here's what went wrong and can/should be improved". Without question that can be interpreted as being 'overly critical'. I don't think of it that way.... often, nearly always in fact... when I write "Goff needs to start getting better in hitting those wide open receivers" I'm not thinking "Goff screwed up".... I'm thinking "Goff played GREAT and can be even better".
For one thing.. I can afford to look ahead. I think we've got a playoff team.. and beyond that, a team that has the potential to get deep into the playoffs. So when the Rams end up with a victory I savor it, to be sure, but can't stop myself from wondering if the just completed game effort would stand up in a big game playoff situation. And perhaps unfortunately my following posts adhere a bit too loquaciously to that theme.
Too set 'my' perspective right, hopefully... in nearly all the years when the Ram's were contenders, ('99 a notable exception)...I think 'we have the key people to do it'....with this team I am far more in line with "We have the TEAM to do it". - JamesJM
