I understand why you do. I see it as being quite positive about 'clear thinking' when analyzing the board.. and equally so with how to read the posts on this board. Not a complaint.. rather.. a guideline. - JamesJM
James I think you think I was responding to you. Actually I hadn't read your long post above yet ""my gut reaction is." ) Having read it by now I have a very complicated response, but that response is not in the post of mine you just responded to ("and yet" ).
My own thing is that I am emotionally probably a realist, which means that I think different things are true. So I can see good things in losing teams and flaws in winning teams and I like to say all 4 things (winning for this good reason, here's a flaw, losing for this bad reason, here's something good anyway).
I just know that every single one of those "views" will get me in trouble with
someone.Disagreement is fine. The only time it ever bugs me is when it comes with a "posting should be this way not that way" imperative. We all want the world to look like us.
Which you're not doing.
And I agree completely with this:

F I think we've got a playoff team.. and beyond that, a team that has the potential to get deep into the playoffs. So when the Rams end up with a victory I savor it, to be sure, but can't stop myself from wondering if the just completed game effort would stand up in a big game playoff situation.
And there's nothing wrong with saying it, even a lot.
