Yes, this offense runs through Gurley.
But man, the way McVay set this up was special, and seems a little under appreciated. The entire first half, he refused to give the D what they wanted with the stacked box and called the jet sweep over and over. Loved that part when they showed Gruden snarl an unmistakable "F word" after one of them. And then in the second half, just flipping the switch and hitting them with Gurley over and over, setting up the pass for Goff. They couldn't stop it. McVay is not too proud to just throw Gurley to the wolves when the D was expecting every bit of that. Saw that happen to SJ for so many years... Throwing them off balance with his play calling was just something else, and is what won the day.
Good catch on the jet sweeps and the play action off of them, especially early on, Old Goat.
Kept the Raiders off balance and I’m sure we will see a lot more of them this season.
