The redzone issue showed again...lets see how long it takes them to snap out of it
Todd Gurley is a beast - I was glad to see McVay find him in the 2nd
The oline - they handled the Raiders. Yes I know Mack wasn’t there but it means the Rams did what they were supposed to do
Goff - Looked solid... I expected him to improve as we get into these other games. I really like Goff’s feet and hes more athletic than given credit for. He just missed on several deep balls two underthrown to Cook (but got PI on both) and 2 overthrown to Woods. When they get that timing down look out! Kupp is a major problem for most teams as a 3rd WR
TE - It was Higbee most of the night and they ran that 3 WR 1TE set most of the night. That surprised me but I’m sure McVay has more up his sleeve with these TEs. I’m going to wait and see
DL - the Rams dline got good pressure all night but they rarely got home with Carr getting rid of the ball so quickly and the Rams LBs struggling to cover their RBs and initially Cook out of the backfield. I think this group will continue to be disruptive for sure. Sam Bardford is likely in big big trouble
LBs - Little and Ebukam made a lot of tackles for sure but Little definitely struggled in coverage and there wasn’t much pass rush pressure from the outside that I noticed. This is a concern until its not. Its the weakness of the team
DB - They took the WRs out but they eventually had to put Talib on Cook to slow him down. Loved the Peters pick 6 to slam the door. Re the celebration. Dude grow up but hey I’m 51
I’d like to see a much tighter game defensively against Arizona on Sunday. I think the Rams were caught off guard by Chucky and his offense. The Raiders got physical with the Rams too... Rams are going to have to get better at that...they got pushed around a bit last night
STs - Legatron made up for the miss by putting us up 23-13 and a 10 point lead with 2:40 left. Hecker was Hecker
A tough hard fought road victory. Reminded my somewhat of the Rams @ Philly opener in 2001.
The Rams can play a lot better... and once they get the timing down in the pass game look out
I love Todd Gurley he is our best offensive player. He might be our best player period...stop forgetting about him... especially when your QB needs help
