the game plan every team we face this year will use against the Rams? That is:
Lightening quick release by the opposing QB, (if they are capable of doing so)... and pass routes attacking the LB's? Announcers early on kept mentioning that our DL'man names weren't being called much... and that throughout nearly all of the 1st half.
I'm sure all of you were like me and started watching closely and what I noticed was our DL push WAS there... but the ball was gone instantly.
Note about Goff...I was pleased with his game... but I think there was some rust. And it seemed to me Goff was more willing than I've ever seen him to attempt some VERY tight window throws. Goff had lots of time.... yet I didn't see many receivers getting all that open. I'm anxiously awaiting from those of you who have access to game film to see what, exactly, was going on.... were the Raider's DB's simply that talented? The Raiders D scheme that good?
Also noticed the Ram's often taking nearly the entire play clock before snapping the ball, (a couple of times I think they actually got by with too much time)... looked to me like there was a LOT of pre-snap reading going on ... all most to the point where I was beginning to wonder if the call in the huddle had anything to do with the plays they ran at all. - JamesJM
