First.. no good guy bad guy crap... don't think there has to be one or the other. I do think this:

AD and his agent have only themselves to consider... the Ram's have 50+ other players... the fans, the franchise's future, to consider. Both are as it should be. AD could be right in over estimating his worth, he may get it... the Ram's could be right in going low, low as in current 'market evaluations'.

I find myself going out of character... I'm not sure paying AD is worth it. I know... sacrilege. Also a bit hypocritical of me... well, too strong a word... I just mean that normally I'm all for signing your top players, (even less than top players as I think team chemistry very valuable)... but in this case?

I don't know what AD could bring... but it's certainly significant.... couple that with the belief I have that the Ram's can win without him and I can't help but wonder if this isn't a golden opportunity to better secure the future.

I hope I don't have to say that I hope the Ram's sign him?

I do NOT think AD holding out does squat to team chemistry... everyone, players and management alike, are aware that it's simply a business decision.

A point you should take into account to better criticize my view: I DO think DT's are quite over-valued as far as the 'game', equating to 'wins' that is.... IOW... 'market value', though valid, I think is a bit askew for DT's. Maybe the Ram's see it that way. The are negotiating for a 'team'. - JamesJM
