Wristy is 'his' thing because he can. Meaning he has the talent and coordination to repeat perfectly everytime. I used to do this in baseball, and from the outfield it is ok, but I couldn't reproduce the accuracy from 90 feet when I pitched...so, I was relegated to RF, lol. Yes, \Goff snaps, or whips it. Very few people can get a way with this on even 5 throws in a game, nevertheless the entire game. Additionally, Goff
must do that because he isn't generating power from his lower body and torso like most QBs. Goff is the anti-McNabb!
And yes, because of his wrist usage, I think he won't ruin his elbow like Jim Everett did after 10 years.
It blows me away to to see Goff throw the way he does--no on in the NFL is doing this I believe. Chris Miller was a 1 handicap, and you could see it in his throwing motion. Goff, too. Superior hand eye coordination I would guess.
