I suspect that Wade has a good handle on what his youngsters can and cannot do for him this season. And I suspect that he prefers to give the younger players the snaps.

Without a training camp yet, I think he has no idea what they bring. He will have an idea after training camp and preseason. Many of these guys wont even make the roster. They very well may sign a vet linebacker.
