I can see the argument either way with him. It is true he wasn't great last year. But he wasn't horrible either. And it's one thing to want to have a youth movement but there is risk going with complete inexperience behind your starting LBs (and 5th-7th round picks).
If they do bring him back I think he's insurance and a further bridge to the young guys. Who knows if Okoronkwo is ready to roll day one in camp or how much missing OTAs sets back his development. And last year Ebukam only played 10-11 snaps/game on defense the first half of the year. Then 29/game after their Bye week. Barwin could give them some reps in September and October while younger guys get their feet wet.
