These guys have big brass ones! I know SEVERAL people who I grew up with who have not watched a single game since 1987. My Brother stopped after the 1982 strike. NFL games are harder and harder to watch with flags and new rules every other week. Hell, us DIE HARDS are tired of a lot of what's going on. All the while, tickets are going up,up,up,and UP! There's already a LOT of empty seats around the League.Just look at our Rams and other large cities like Tampa and Miami. It's not as fun as it used to be all the while it's a HELLUVA lot more expensive than it used to be. That's undeniable facts! ANY stoppage by these clowns will be VERY bad with damage I don't see repaired. REAL meaning to "Strike #3 and you are out"
While I understand your frustrations, you're mixing a lot of things up here.
Players contracts do not drive ticket prices up. Players are paid out of the shared revenue the league gets from network contracts. It's the cap. Players aren't paid out of ticket revenue or out of the owners's pockets.
The price to attend games is on the owners. It has nothing to do with the players.
The last work stoppage was by the owners--they shut players out (that was 2010).
In fact since 82 and 87, the big strike years, the NFL went up in popularity.
