We know one thing for sure. Fisher had zero input in personnel moves in ‘17.

So, how did S&M do?

Well, ‘17 was a rousing success by ANY standard.

All without a 1st or a 2nd. An 11-5 record and division championship. Not too bad.

In ‘18? Well, it’s early, but things sure look promising.

Followed by a promising group of draft picks including the likes of Noteboom, Allen, Kiser, Denby, and Obo. Again, all picked 3rd round or later.

I laid it out this way for a reason. I think it’s safe to now say two things.

1) Snead is perfectly capable of adding needed talent without Fisher’s “help”.

2) S&M make a very good team when identifying needs and in identifying good team “fits”.

In fact, Gil Brandt has ranked this roster as 3rd most talented in the league. We’ve come light years from Fisher’s 4-12 team of ‘16. If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up!
