In 2012, the St. Louis Rams gave Snead the GM job, handed him the keys to the drafting, the releasing, the hiring and the firing.
The Rams had already hired coach Jeff Fisher. Their club was a group of bass guitars in search of a lead singer. As recently as 2016, people wondered if Snead could hang on.
Find me a GM in the NFL that doesn't talk like he is responsible for the picks. Its just the way it is. I have no problem with Snead talking like a GM.
The big difference now is that Fisher is gone. Fisher didn't share much credit with Snead when he was HC, and that carried over to last year when he was pounding his chest about what he did for the Rams last year.
