But....they are still picks where you stand a reasonable chance of getting good solid starters and they have good value to move up or back in the draft.

More important now that they can be used in trades, definitely.

I love that the Rams get them. No question. It's just not really a third round pick per se. As in, teams still have to make sure they make good trades for FAs and avoid, if possible, rentals. They shouldn't be counting on those comps to offset possible mistakes along those lines. Get the trade right from the beginning, etc.

Just my ornery take.
