.@PFF on Brian Allen: "Allen has been one of the best OL in college football each of the past two seasons, but he doesn’t check a ton of NFL boxes physically. Allen is an undersized C who doesn’t quite have the athleticism to make up for the lack of strength. @PFF_Rams
Alden Gonzalez@Alden_GonzalezBrian Allen grew up in the Midwest and spent a lot of time watching current Rams C John Sullivan play for the Vikings. "He's someone I've looked up to. ... I definitely will be picking his brain, as long as I don't annoy him too much."
Rams 4th-rounder Brian Allen entered the draft with a "center only" designation, but got plenty of reps at both guard spots before 2017. "I feel just as good at left guard as I do at right guard, and I feel just as good at those positions as I do center," he said.
TurfShowTimes@TurfShowTimesThe wisdom behind the Noteboom and Allen picks are that they prevent a need in 2019 or 2020 from becoming a glaring need at OT and C.
