Boring.
I'm not saying it was a bad pick, who knows, we can discuss that in a couple of years.
What I am saying is that I would have preferred they take a flyer on a guy like Hurst or even Sweat, unless the medicals are just known to be where these guys absolutely are done. I have yet to hear that's the case with either of them. Information about their health, at least publicly, has been all speculation from what I've seen.
I think they could have picked up Noteboom, or someone with similar skills and upside a round later and still stack up a bunch of OL picks in the 6th and see if any stick.
I think the Rams are good enough to have taken a flyer or to have "reached" for a guy with some flags. If it doesn't work out, it's only a 3rd round pick and plenty of those guys flop.
Of course, if I knew as much as the guys in the NFL war rooms, I'd be there.
