The devil is in the details, of course. Particularly in judging hits and misses.
Take Pharoh Cooper, for instance. A 4th round WR that won’t be a starter, but became an All Pro returner. In the real world that’s a definite hit, but in this contest might be a little bit difficult to judge.
Generally speaking, my suggestion is to err on the side of making hits a pretty high bar to separate the wheat from the chaff. Otherwise it might become too blurry.
I think the 1st rounder vs later rounder comparison difficulties will sort themselves out and be equally easy early on and equally increasingly difficult for all for contest purposes.
I definitely see the need for a specific date and time for entry submission to avoid “copycatting”.
