I am planning on presenting Deacon to the Rams promoting the idea of me ultimately sculpting all from the 1965 Los Angeles Rams Fearsome Foursome. Deacon, Merlin, Rosey and Lamar. I want them reproduced in a monumental size (at least 10 ft.tall) and shown in their famous "hands on hips" stance, which was their way taunting by waiting for the offense to get to the line of scrimmage.
I see them as being placed in a wide entryway coming up to the new stadium where fans walk up to them and then go around and through the display on their way to the stadium. I see them as a symbol showing the Rams history of excellence.
My idea is to promote this 24" bronze of Deacon to the Rams and gain their interest in the proposed project. I have a long way to go!
Thanks so much for your interest and positive comments!
There is no way they should turn you down! Your idea is awesome and would be loved by all Rams fans who go to the new stadium and honor Los Angeles Rams history. If they say no, we should all sign a petition to change their minds.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
