easy to say wait for a year and then average somewhere between $16-18million a year, but what if he's injured this year. Also he's slated to earn $8m this year, if he signs a new contract that evens his yr averages to $16m then it would take him 4 years to earn that on the higher contract anyway. Also I'm sure its the all important guaranteed money that will clinch the deal.
