Jarvis Landry is signing for 5 years $75 mil. That's $15 mil per year average. Have no idea of the guaranteed money, but I would guess the Rams will shoot for paying Cooks no more than what Landry got since Landry's numbers are pretty impressive.

That just puts the range of WR 2nd contracts around 15-16 M. Now it';s Landy, Evans, and Watkins.

Problem is, all Cooks has to do is wait a year until 2019 and he enters a FA in a market where 2nd contracts for WRs will be more than 15-16 M.

So if you were him, would you sign for 15-16 M now? Or wait for the more lucrative 2019 market?

Since the Rams know all that too, maybe to get him signed NOW they up the figures a bit. Maybe to 17 M?
