i get all that. i think the whole approach makes a lot of sense, and i do think the rams will have a great advantage luring free agents to LA as the team is set to become both a winner and has a great, likable players coach in McVay. I just think we had a chance to win the superbowl with or without Cooks, and prefer to keep 1st rd picks. I also prefer ODB to Cooks by a wide margin. I hope the difference between paying Cooks instead of ODB is huge, but i fear it may not be.

to the previous posters point about Cooks being the anti ODB, i dont buy that. I dont think Cooks is that much of a boy scout, nor do i think ODB is that bad a guy.
