do you really think the soundbites from ODB would have been any different if he was the one Rams traded for? This article is total puff piece.
if you think there are no red flags for a guy traded to his 3rd team in 3 years i dont know what to tell you. There were definitely rumblings that he gets unhappy when not the focus of the offense. I still do not love the trade, but do not hate it either. it is certainly unlikely there would be a better wr option at #23, but i hate giving away the value of getting a first round stud at at the cheap price of rookie deal with this trade. i also hate that we basically must extend him at a very high price likely before the season before seeing how he fits. ESPECIALLY with guys like AD, Peters and Gurley needing extensions in near future.
I would have much preferred Rams held out for ODB or Cooks price to come down. Had i known the Rams were definitely trading for one of them, and given the choice of the two players, i would rather have given a little more for ODB than Cooks. I doubt either are boy scouts, & both have some diva qualities. We already acquired Peters, Suh, Talib...why draw the line with ODB?
go rams.
