In a way he contradicts himself. He says the only concern with the move is it’s his third team. About two minutes later he explains that the Pats never give out huge contracts. In any case I do think it’s ok to say. Hey why is this kid now on his third team without a team committing to him?
I wouldn't put CC as one of the most well spoken talking heads that's for sure....he often contradicts himself.
He will often parrot the popular narrative then quickly backtrack or contradict it once someone informs him what the real story is.
