For the last couple of years, starting in 2016, they have been content to find back-up RBs in the UDFA market.
They drafted Mason in round 3 in 2014 but at that point all they had was Stacy, and that was before Gurley.
In 2016 it was Cunningham and Brown. In 2017 it was mostly Brown. They added Davis but we don't know yet if he sticks. Either way I think they trust their ability to find a back that way, as a UDFA.
