I agree completely. Hard to fault the QB behind the number one offense. Watkins was not franchised for a reason. I would add I am weary hearing that “he’s not a true #1”. Cooks has been far more productive over his career than Watkins. Watkins being a “number 1” is still based on potential, potential he has not lived up to. What does a true #1 even mean in an offense that specializes in spreading the ball around. Who was a #1 Bruce or Holt? I believe it is harder to stop an offense that uses everyone on any given down or circumstance. Very similar to the GSOT offense.
