What has he done: he drafted an explosive TE target with his first pick ever. Everett is an explosive Jordan Reed type. Not a redzone big body TE. Then he basically loses a very good redzone WR in Watkins, for a deep threat only. Why? Because he is concerned with explosive plays. (He said it himself before he traded for Watkins, he was concerned where the explosive plays were going to come from. How about worrying about scoring inside the 20. Thats his weakness.
The other thing that probably only bothers me is his lack of attn spent on the defense. I appreciate he trusts Son so much, but Snead and McVay are taking it to another level, by giving him Suh, Peters and Talib. Maybe Phillips whated all of them. Maybe he didn't. We will never know. I just wish McVay stayed up front in the flow of the game. If he wants to be a head coach, coach. If you want to be a coordinator, stay with one side of the ball and leave the other side to the other coordinator and HC.

I'm not quite following what the issue is with him delegating so much of the D to Wade.
It was your concerns with the front office that really had me curious. I hadn't seen the 'where's the fire' post but I understand and appreciate your position from that thread. I don't agree with a lot of it but I'll probably respond there when I have some time.
