It very true but the things that Goff can improve and grow is in command of the offense in his 2nd year. a better command on the field and awareness and just like he grew week to week in the pocket and audibles and adjustments in our offense could make him deadly.
I agree completely. Going back into the same scheme, with largely the same group of players around him, makes a huge difference vs. a year ago when he was taking a 5-month crash course in McVay's offense leading up to Indianapolis.
Wentz improved his QB rating by 22 points in his 2nd year, Cousins by 15 points in his 2nd year with McVay. Now Goff isn't going to come in and improve from his 100.5 rating to 115+. But as his command of the offense grows, timing, etc. the ball will come out a tad quicker, to his 2nd and 3rd reads faster, etc.
Part of the key there is players around him like Kupp, Reynolds, and Everett getting better at what they do as well.
