And your approach to drafts are that no one should spend a 1st round pick on a left OT --->IF<--- a viable one is there?
My draft philosophy is that you pay attention to what the odds tell you.
The odds say that getting a starting qb after round 2 is around 4%.
The odds say that getting a starting LOT after round 2 is less than 5%.
Though I don't think of those things as my draft philosophy so much as I think of them as the hard strong force of reality.
If you want a left OT you take them in rounds 1 or 2. If you doubt me look at all the starting LOTs around the league and tell me how many WEREN'T 1st or 2nd rounders when originally drafted. In fact it's probably the one position in the league with the most 1st and 2nd rounders, except *maybe* qb.
If there's no one there you don't force it, but that doesn't make the odds go up after after round 2. The odds are just the odds. The odds tell you which things are likely and which things are not.
For example do you skip the mortgage this month just because you bought a lottery ticket.
