I was addressing the comment which said that winning makes things easier. It is true, of course, that knuckleheads often (not always) behave better in winning situations, at least for a while.

By the same reasoning, however, losing increases tensions and frustrations which increase the odds of a knucklehead going sour.

My point was that, if one bases one's odds of controlling a jerk on winning, one is relying on a pretty unstable support system.

Has nothing to do with expecting the Rams to lose. That's a different issue.
