How do you compare a foul ball to a fumble?
Wouldn't a dropped fly ball comparison be more appropriate? Or maybe...a runner interfering on the base path....I'm lost at that analogy.
A foul happens every other pitch. A fumble in the end zone happens once every four weeks! A foul ...well...people yawn when it happens. But a turnover in the NFL is humongous...a game changer! Foul balls aren't game changers. These rules aren't even relevant to each other.
It's not even comparable. I'm sorry...I can't process the thinking. I don't get it.
A fumble is a screw up...and if it goes through the end zone, shame on the fumbler. How many times to you hear shame on the batter for hitting a foul ball? I guess if he missed a pitch he should have ripped...but...wow...color my clueless.
Why isn't a foul strike three? He didn't hit it in fair territory?
There is no comparison. Different game...different rules. The person fumbling has control of the situation...if they fumble it's there own fault. If a guy hit s foul, it may be a great thing...like spoiling a good pitch.
I'm sorry. that analogy is ...uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...lolololol.
