Rams seem to pick the wrong guys to sign/tag. At least they are good at it!
Management should have understood all the quality safeties on the market vs. the lack of quality at WR.
Maybe the Rams "took one" for the league.
That's biased way of looking at it for sure.... Joyner was a top ten FA on most list....Sammy was maybe top 20.
If there were no quality safeties on the market then that makes Joyner even more of a commodity
Also, Joyner cost $11 M while Sammy would have cost $16M
There is more then one way to look at it....
The Rams just ran away with Coach of the Year, Offensive Player or the Year and Defensive Player of the Year and the front office has their fingerprints all over that.
They're not as incompetent as you try to make them out to be.
