You should NEVER franchise a safety not named Ed Reed, Troy P, Earl Thomas or Brian Dawkins.

Too far away from the ball and not enough impact to command franchise cheddar!

I would never do it unless I had a HOF caliber player at the position that changed games.

If you don't they're essentially plug and play pieces.
