I really hoped they would keep him too but for that kind of money, no thanks. Especially the $30M guaranteed part. It does suck to lose him after one year when they gave up a late 2nd for him. But they will be getting 3rd and 4th- possibly even two 3rd- compensatory picks back next year and yes, that does count for something.

They absolutely made the right call keeping Joyner. They want a top 5 defense and that had to come at the expense of their 3rd WR. Now they absolutely do have work to do to make up for his loss and production. No doubt.
