Aaron Donald looks at it this way...
You..Rams...are getting me on the cheap. And every year you get me on the cheap, means I want the money on the back end.
Mack is getting $13...Donald $7ish. If I'm Donald, I thinking next year, you're going to have to make up $6.
Now...you can say that's not the system...but...Donald can do whatever he wants...the Rams can do whatever they want. And if the Rams act like the oser organization they have been the last decade before last year, I wouldn't be surprised if they screw this up.
Aaron Donald is one play from the end of his career. The Rams are on the gravy train that is the NFL.
Donald wants the guarantee...flexibility...and he is breaking no rules and has every right to do what he is doing as do the Rams.
I'm hoping there is a common ground. But...if another team can find a way and we can't...well...
Demoff says they're close...I'll take him at his word...although I'm not sure why I should take the word of a guy who has been shown to lie.
